Established in 1994, Gruen & Associates has a
long track record of success in the full time placement business. Our
roots however are in the contract placement business. Gruen &
Associates was founded by Roger Gruen, a long time consultant in the
Information Systems field. In the 1970’s he established a consulting
company by the name of Sauer Computer Systems. He continued to grow that
business until 1990. In 1990 Roger Gruen lost the majority of his eye
sight and because of that his partners in the business decided to leave
the business and move on to other interests. Employing some of the people
that had worked with him at Sauer, he founded Analytix in 1990, a company
that placed consultants in the Information Systems field. Joined by his
sons Michael and Brian the business grew and in 1994 Gruen &
Associates was established to place people in full time permanent
positions. Staying true to its roots however, Gruen & Associates
continued to place consultants through Analytix as opportunities arose.
Gruen & Associates has grown and now places people in the Market
Research, Apparel, Textile and Retail Industries.
We are in contact with many freelance
designers, technical designers, textile designers, production
specialists, sourcing specialists, merchandise planners, merchandisers
and many other professionals. Some of these individuals have their own
businesses and others are just individuals that for personal reasons are
working on a freelance basis for the short or long term. We have the
flexibility to put these individuals on our payroll in a variety of ways
to meet your needs. Whatever the situation we can put you in touch with
professionals who can help you over the hump on a big project, or
completely run a project from start to finish, all at fixed hourly rates
agreed to up front.
In addition, through our “Evaluate First”
program, if the individual you hire on a freelance basis becomes a valued
member of your team and you want to hire them to your staff, you can hire
them for a reduced placement fee, or if the person you hire has billed
1000 hours or more of billable work you can hire them with no fee owed.
